Team Hijikinoheya Software Licensing

This document explains the licensing structure of software provided by Team Hijikinoheya. The software uses a hybrid licensing model that balances open-source principles with protection of project identity and creative expression.

Chapter 1: Licensing Overview

1.1 Why a Hybrid License

Team Hijikinoheya shares source code and technical mechanisms openly while protecting names, UI, text, and branding. To achieve this, we adopt a hybrid license combining GPL and the Team Hijikinoheya Original License.

1.2 License Types

  • GNU General Public License (GPL v2 / v3)

  • Team Hijikinoheya Original License

Each component of the software may fall under a different license.

Chapter 2: GNU General Public License (GPL)

2.1 Scope

  • Source code explicitly marked as GPL

  • Open-source modules

  • GPL-compatible third-party libraries

2.2 Permitted Actions

  • Use, study, and modify the code

  • Redistribute modified versions under the same GPL

  • Commercial and non-commercial use

2.3 Notes

  • Include the GPL license text when redistributing

  • GPL covers code and mechanisms, not branding or expression
